Holy Frick

Oh my goodness. I'm so excited that I'm a bit speechless.
This is going to be SO MUCH BETTER than the first movie (and you all know I loved it.)
EEEEEE!!!!!!!

That's what friends are for!

My friends are good at making me laugh-- big hearty chuckles, or until tears roll down my face, or until I can't breathe and gasp desperately for air. We laugh a lot, and often about the dumbest things. I don't know why, but the following two statements are the best things I heard this evening:

"I dreamt in blur and it freaked me out!"

"Tuna casserole is the best thing you can get out of a box and can!"

If your friends can't make you crack up with their randomness, then who can? I heart my friends.

Just Too Early

I have to be at work at 4:30am tomorrow morning. Which means that I should be going to sleep right about now. But we all know that's not going to happen. It's too early for bedtime.

Ugh. Having to work during the 4 o'clock hour is just torture.

Weekend Accomplishments

I did two major things for myself this past weekend. Both were things that I have put off doing for a long time--not wanting to face the situation or too afraid to go through with it. Although the first didn't exactly turn out the way I was hoping or expecting, I'm still glad that I actually did it. The second turned out just fine, and there was no reason for me to worry for as long as I did. In the end, I did two things for myself, no matter the result. It feels good to jump off that cliff of fear and hesitation, to soar into the unknown and see where life takes you.

Why oh why...

...is there this much trash on the beach?

Just Awful!

Just awful. So sad.

"No One Died Today"

Amongst all the chaos and high levels of stress lately, I had to be reminded that "no one died today." A somewhat morbid thought, but it is also very true and puts things into perspective. In the grand scheme of things, I'm not working in life-or-death scenarios. Yes, there may be hiccups or mistakes or changes that need to be made. But everything will end up working out, and no one will get hurt in the process.

Things will get crazy, but there's no need to stress out unnecessarily. Just breathe, calm down, and remember this.

Neglectful

I know, I've been MIA. Life has been busy, and I haven't been good at keeping up with posts. My intentions to post are there, but my follow through is really lacking. Don't worry, you haven't missed out on anything too exciting--went on a couple of fun outings to the Griffith Observatory and the LA Times Festival of Books (where I got the Twilight script signed by screenwriter Melissa Rosenberg, hehe.) Other than that, it has been life as usual: work, gym, eat, sleep, read, hang out with friends.

I'll try to keep my neglect at a minimum from now on.
